How to get on the Septic Installer's List
To get on the installer list, which is posted for potential customers at the Health Department, interested parties must take the Installer's Exam, which was developed by the Health Department, and pass it with a score of 80% or more.
We will supply you with a take-home test and a copy of the State code. (State Code is also available on-line by clicking this link: Rule 410 IAC 6-8.1, Residential Sewage Disposal Systems) Take the test at your leisure and bring it back to the Health Department to be graded.
Once you have taken and passed the test, you must install at least three (3) septic systems successfully to all State and County codes. When you have completed these requirements, your name will be added to the list.
